Can You Feel It?
If you're not excited right now, something's wrong with you. The whole city is buzzing with pre-marathon excitement. I'm so pumped! And I'm not even running.
This afternoon, I headed back over to the expo at the Javits Center for a fun-filled day courtesy of Nissan, who is supplying the 100% electric Nissan Leaf pace cars tomorrow.
The expo hall was hopping, just like it had been on Thursday when I picked up my race packet for the NYRR5. When I arrived at Nissan's booth, I got to meet Ryan Hall. Ryan once ran a marathon in 2:06:17. That's pretty much how long it takes me to run a half. Wow.
I haven't driven a car in 10 years. I know pretty much nothing about cars. I do know a thing or two about water bottles, though. And try as I might to stick to my Siggs, every now and then, I cave. So I was pretty impressed to learn that the fabric of the Nissan Leaf's seats is made from recycled water bottles. How cool is that?
After the expo, Nissan treated us bloggers to a private yoga class at Tara Stiles' yoga studio, Strala Yoga. Tara Stiles' husband, Mike Taylor, led the class. It was great, and I so needed the release.
Next, we headed back uptown to the Marathon Eve Experience pasta dinner.
I'm very glad I got to go this year, because I don't think I'll able to stomach this many people the night before my very first marathon next year!
I've got to get back to preparing for tomorrow, so I'm signing off. I'll be tweeting throughout the race from various locations, including from the Finish Line Bleacher Seating thanks to Nissan. Good luck to everyone who is running tomorrow, especially SME, Alissa, Sarah, Meghann, Eric, Jenny, Brookie and Ashley!! All you runners rock!

**Thank you to Nissan for the day, the yoga, the dinner, the t-shirt and the passes to the bleacher seating!!!
